Transitioning to Rapid Antigen Test

Beginning the week of Monday, Jan. 31 and until further notice, faculty and staff members working on campus will use rapid antigen tests. The test kits will be available for pick up at thesame locations as in the fall(and listed below).

The College will useBD Veritor rapid antigen test kitsfor employee testing. Each kit comes with two tests, and faculty and staff members working on campus must perform two tests each week (meaning using typically one kit per week). Faculty and staff members should test on either Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays whenever possible.The tests should be taken at least 24 hours and no more than 48 hours apart.

Whenever possible, faculty and staff members should plan to take their rapid tests before reporting to work on the days noted above.If you receive a positive result, you must not come to campus.All positive results must be immediately reported to the COVID-19 Employee Test Team (CETT) atcett@swarthmore.edu,as well as特蕾莎在人类Resou马奎尔rces attmaguir1@swarthmore.edu. Someone from the College will be in touch via email with additional information on isolation protocols.

If you are already on campus and test positive, you must notify your supervisor that you are ill and return home for isolation.You are encouraged, though not required, to inform your supervisor that you have tested positive for COVID-19.

How to Take a Rapid Antigen Test

The BD Veritor Rapid Antigen Tests require the use of the Scanwell App on compatible devices. BDprovides a list of compatible devices. Please note that we are working directly with supervisors to assess employee access to compatible devices, and are making arrangements to accommodate those who do not have one.If you do not have a compatible device and have not received additional information from your supervisor on how to perform a rapid antigen test, or if you prefer to take a test that doesn't involve using a smart device,please contactCETT@最佳线上娱乐swarthmore.edufor instructions.

Using your compatible device, begin by downloading the Scanwell App from your device’s app store. (Scanwell on the Apple App Store) (Scanwell on Google Play). When you open the app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to sign up for an account. Please use your Swarthmore email address to create an account.

  • Once you’ve created an account and/or logged in and you are ready to take a test, select Start New Test and follow the instructions. Step-by-step video instructions will be provided within the app to guide you through the process.
  • Once you perform your test according to the instructions provided in the app, you must wait 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, take a photo of your test strip, and the app will return your results. (Please note that first-time users may need to grant the app permission to access the device's camera.)
  • Once you’ve received your result, please select Share Result. You will be prompted to enter an Organization ID and an Individual ID.
    • For Organization ID, please enter:最佳线上娱乐
    • For Individual ID,please use your Swarthmore employee ID number. You can locate the number on the back of your OneCard; it’s the number located next to ID. Your employee ID is also listed on the detailed view of your pay stub in MySwarthmore, next to Banner ID.
  • After entering the information, select Share Result to submit your results to the College.

Please submit all results to the College, regardless of whether they’re positive or negative.

Picking Up a Test Kit

You will be able to pick up two test kits at a time. You must have your OneCard to pick up a COVID-19 test kit. Staff members who work in Athletics, Dining Services, EVS, Facilities, and Public Safety will be able to pick up a test kit from their department, as they did in the fall. Supervisors in these departments will provide more information directly

  • The campus Post Office— We encourage you to pick up test kits in the morning between 8:30 and 11 a.m. or in the afternoon between 2 and 3:45 p.m.to avoid the Post Office’s busiest times.
  • 101 South Chester Road, Finance and Administration Suite— Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • The OneCard Office, Parrish 131A周一到周四,上午8:30到中午1—3 p.m.
  • Public Safety, located at Benjamin West House. This location should only be used after hours and if you are unable to pick up a kit at a location listed above.
